“Go and Make Disciples” — The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20)"

Jesus, with all authority in heaven and on earth, calls us to go and make disciples of all nations. His command is not just for a few—it’s for every believer. Let us carry this mission with courage and faith, knowing that His presence is with us always, even to the end of the age. 🌍✝️

Today's Reading:

Scripture

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen.”
— Matthew 28:18–20 (NKJV)

Observation

Before ascending to heaven, Jesus declares His supreme authority over all creation. With that authority, He commissions His followers to go out into the world — not just to preach, but to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them to live according to His commands. This is not a suggestion but a divine command that defines the mission of every believer.
Jesus also gives a comforting promise: He will be with us always. His presence empowers us to obey this great task and assures us that we are never alone in doing His work.

Application

As followers of Christ, we are all called to participate in the Great Commission. Let us remember that the mission field is not only across nations but also within our workplaces, homes, and communities. We are to be intentional in sharing His Word, helping others grow in faith, and setting an example of obedience.
Let us, as a group, embrace this calling with boldness and unity, knowing that Christ’s authority and presence go before us and remain with us in every step we take.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for entrusting us with Your Great Commission. Help us to live purposefully and courageously as Your disciples, sharing Your truth and love wherever we go. Remind us that Your authority empowers us and that Your presence sustains us. May we always walk in obedience and bring others closer to You.
Amen.
